The Office of Higher Education provides consumer protection for students and potential students at private occupational schools, hospital-based schools and cosmetology/barber/hairdresser schools in Connecticut.  Schools which meet statutory requirements are authorized to operate in Connecticut by the Executive Director of the Office of Higher Education.
