Private Occupational Schools Curriculum Specialists Needed

 

The Connecticut Office of Higher Education is looking for qualified individuals to serve as curriculum specialists during site visits for the State’s postsecondary occupational schools. Curriculum specialists evaluate the curriculum and instructional sites of postsecondary occupational schools within their subject matter expertise.  This is an ad hoc position, NOT a full- or part-time one.  If you have a high school diploma and at least two years of experience in one or more of the following fields, please apply for consideration here:

    • Massage Therapy

    • Esthetics

    • Nail Technician

    • Makeup Artistry

    • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

    • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

    • Electrocardiogram (EKG)

    • Phlebotomy

    • Bartending

    • Modeling

    • Manufacturing

    • CNC Machining

    • Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)

    • Plumbing

    • Electrical

    • Dental Assisting

    • Medical Billing and Coding

    • TV and Radio Broadcasting

    • Graphic Design

    • Tax Services

    • Medical Assistant

    • Administrative Office Professional

    • Software Engineer

    • Jewelry and Watch Repair

    • Automotive Technician

    • Real Estate Staging

    • Integrative Manual Therapy 

 

If you meet State requirements you will be contacted by the Office of Higher Education to interview as a curriculum specialist as well as be provided with additional information about the position. If you are qualified, you will be added to a roster of approved specialists. When a school within your area of expertise requires a curriculum review, you will be contacted to set up a date and a time that works for all parties.

 

All non-state employee specialist will be eligible for a $100.00 stipend per visit, from the State. The cost of travel for the specialist is also covered by the visited school.
